Visit from Malawi - 3 members of the Tandala team visited the Ten Brinke Foundation
As part of our long-standing collaboration with Loyce Sikakula's Tandala team, we had the honor of welcoming Loyce, her husband Michael and her brother Reuben as our guests in Germany and the Netherlands in October 2024.
Malawi - Start ups - Rent to own
Successfully launch and support young people into self-employment by setting up small businesses after they have developed and presented a business plan at YE.
Malawi - cooking stoves
The Ten Brinke Foundation is financing the construction of 240 cooking stoves in the Benga region of Malawi.
Farm Malawi
Loyce Sikakula runs an orphanage near Lake Malawi. There was no government support for this, so the idea of self-sufficiency through a farm plot was born.
Namibia - Cooperation with Na´ankuse Foundation
The Ten Brinke Group is a shareholder from Na´ankuse Foundation and is therefore in very close contact with the Na´ankuse Foundation in Namibia:
Fishfarm - Luangwa Zambia
People who are living in area which are nearby wild reservations and national parks are having great difficulties, to provide in their livelihood. Due to the conflicts between animal and human kind, it’s hard to realize some agricultural activities.
Education center for electricians - Gambia
In Sifoe (Gambia) the building of a new education center for electricians has been able to start with the support of the Ten Brinke Foundation. The public power grid in Gambia is developing since 2014 and there is lack of similar education.
Κοινωφελές έργο «αγελάδας» Σρι Λάνκα
Τον Απρίλιο 2015 το ίδρυμα Ten Brinke είχε δώσει το πράσινο φως για το ξεκίνημα ενός νέου κοινωφελούς έργου στη Σρι Λάνκα. Το έργο αφορούσε την αγορά 30 αγελάδων οι οποίες θα μοιράζονταν σε περίπου 20 οικογένειες στην περιοχή Σολεπούρα για γαλακτοπαραγωγή. Το έργο αναπτύχθηκε σε συνεργασία με το ίδρυμα HAS (NL) και NEDLA (Σρι Λάνκα),το οποίο οργανώνουν από κοινού.
