CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY REQUIRES SOCIAL COMMITMENT

At Ten Brinke, we are committed. Not only with people and relationships close by, but also with people in the world’s poorest countries. We are aware that we can contribute to a sustainable and purposeful improvement of tomorrow’s world. So we decided to do that. Since 2011. With our Ten Brinke Foundation.

Through the Ten Brinke Foundation, we primarily offer help for self-assistance; We help people to help themselves on the basis of a Christian philosophy of life. We provide financial support for the construction of training centers, job placement and the establishment and implementation of our own agricultural projects. We also provide microcredit loans to give people the opportunity to become self-sufficient.

We are also committed towards the environmental, nature and animal protection in order to preserve the basis of life and use it sustainably. In addition, we do not lose sight of acute disasters and act where humanitarian assistance is needed at short notice.
With our projects we want to contribute to the realization of the United Nations' global goals for sustainable development (2016-2030).

Through the Ten Brinke Foundation we are helping to build a better future for everyone.

GOALS

The Ten Brinke Foundation was established back in 2011 with the aim of making a contribution to the sustainable and targeted improvement of tomorrow's world.
It is committed to a world in which all people have the same opportunities. We believe that everyone has the potential to achieve great things - regardless of their background or social status. That is why it is important to us to support projects and launch initiatives that can contribute to this vision.
We work closely with local organisations and are particularly committed to ensuring that donations go directly to those in need. The Ten Brinke Foundation helps people in the world's poorest countries to develop and help themselves by providing them with the financial resources they need to become self-sufficient in the long run. It is also committed to protecting the environment, nature and animals, it grants microloans and responds to current events with donations. In this way, the Ten Brinke Foundation aims to help create a better future for everyone.

Strengthening our cause, we do not see our commitment as a compulsory task, but rather as an affair of the heart. Because when you see how much you can help with just small steps, it is simply indescribably beautiful!

So, let's work together to make our world a little better day by day - after all, that's what matters!

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS 2016 - 2030

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 are intended to replace the Millennium Development Goals which expire in 2015. The agreed goals have led to improvements worldwide. Poverty has been reduced, more children are going to school, more people live in decent housing with access to clean water and adequate sanitation, etc. However, there is still a long way to go in many areas and in many countries. This is why the new Sustainable Development Goals have been established.
We pursue the achievement of these sustainable development goals in the selection, implementation and realisation of our projects, which are essentially based on 6 core values:

• People - Αccess to healthcare and education for all (especially for women and girls)
• Dignity - Εnding poverty and reducing inequality
• Prosperity - Strong economies in which everyone participates
• Justice - Secure and peaceful societies with strong institutions
• Cooperation - Strengthening global solidarity and sustainable development
• Planet - Protecting ecosystems for all societies and future generations

PRIORITY COUNTRIES

In recent years, we have financially supported projects in a large number of countries in Asia and Africa with the aim of "helping people to help themselves".

Since 2020, we tend to focus more on "priority countries" in order to enable synergy effects between the individual projects.
These priority countries, currently Malawi and Namibia, are mainly located to the south of Africa.

We work closely with our partner organisations Verburg Charity Foundation and Naankuse Foundation, who monitor and regularly visit the projects on site.
